The San Gabriel Valley sprawls across approximately 200 square miles in southeastern Los Angeles County, touching from Pasadena in the west to San Bernardino County in the east. Thirty-one incorporated cities share the valley's geography, schools and water systems. Montebello sits at the valley's southern edge, a gateway between the San Gabriel Valley proper and the Gateway Cities to the south.

Nearly four in five Montebello households are Latino, according to the 2020 U.S. Census, which counted the city's population at 62,640. This concentration reflects decades of migration and family settlement: the city has become a destination for immigrants from Mexico and Central America and home to established communities whose roots in the region run generations deep. The valley's Latino residents have built neighborhoods, businesses, schools and civic institutions that define the region.

For families in the San Gabriel Valley, life insurance planning reflects the rhythms of household economies where income from multiple jobs, remittances, and small businesses support extended families. A term policy sized to cover the mortgages, debts and years of schooling that matter most anchors that planning.
